What is the Best Animal?

My obsession with the echidna has taken an unnecessary turn.

Still Going Nowhere

Wow. The results of my hourly comic endeavor were very much less than extraordinary, so if the title of my last post was a question, then the answer to it is an emphatic "No," until I have something better to show along those lines.

Not that an experiment in scribbling out a story from random things that pop into my head is that extraordinary either, but in the interest of unneeded filler for what I just know must be a teeming multitude of people out there who need constant updates to the irrelevant things I'm doing online, I'll link over here. Any random readers out there can play a game of Spot-the-Allusion if intensely bored; I promise I don't have dreams like that.

Real Life Weird Stories

Just wanted to point out this contest Jeff Vandermeer is having on his blog. Those who post the best true life weird tales get a load of books written and/or edited by Jeff and his wife, who is an editor for Weird Tales Magazine.

Real Life Weird

The deadline is Sunday February 17, Midnight EST, so if you actually came across this site and still have time, might be worth a try. His books are good, especially if you're into more literary weird stuff. Of course, no one reads this blog, so my posting is a moot point anyway.

Update:
A little late (only a few months), but just wanted to post that I ended up as one of the winners. Here's the link.

A Statement of Things to Come?

Who knows? What I do know is that I've already commited to participating in Hourly Comic Day, not to be confused with 24 Hour Comics day. One difference, for instance, is that the hourly comic project doesn't necessitate taking a day off work, or even drawing skills which I don't really have. Could this upcoming something be something that could be refered to in the future as a fizghoi? I have no idea. Perhaps. Perhaps I'll stop refering to things as fizghois. Perhaps I'll stop rambling in entries about just what the nature of a fizghoi is. I mean, a lot of things could happen. I could win the lottery*. I could start putting more entries here. Somebody other than the contributors could actually look at this here webpage.

*Actually, I couldn't win the lottery seeing as I never purchase lotto tickets.

Is this a fizghoi?

Old, out of date fizghoi?

Something going nowhere

Being bored and stir crazy at work while a girl giggles nearby over last night's outtakes from Leno can drive a man to do strange things.

You tell me.

Hello. If you're reading this, then my guess is that you probably know, know of, or have seen a reference to the guy writing down these words. If you don't, congratulations for wandering this way, and could you please tell me what you did wrong to end up here? Did you perform a google search for the word 'fizghoi'? Because I find that a little bit hard to believe, and you must be lying because 'fizghoi' doesn't mean a damn thing at this point. Why would you even lie about that anyway? What do you have to gain? That's just kind of weird, and perhaps, yes in fact, a bit creepy. Can't you just leave a comment stating what I'm sure turns out to be a perfectly reasonable and mundane explanation? Is that so hard? Why all the secrecy from a hypothetical and most likely non-existant entity? Ok, if you're a bot scanning through the 1s and 0s of the internet I can perhaps forgive you for not commenting because what you're doing can hardly be described as 'reading,' can it? I mean, you can't even comprehend what it is that I'm saying, much less that these words are directed at you. Ok, enough of the questions directed at those too non-existant or lacking in self awareness to answer.

For the rest of you, I have no idea exactly what this is just yet. The most that I've been able to rigidly set up in my mind is "a broad conglomeration of various disparate elements" which is oh so very clear and not vague, isn't it? I expect that things may get clearer and less vague over time, but we'll just have to see.
I don't intend for this to be simply an accumulation of blog postings by one individual or another, but I'm not ready to say that isn't one of the elements that might at some point be represented in the conglomeration. In fact that is something that you might see from the individual writing down these words, in fact it is something you're seeing right now, but this blog here for instance I don't mean to turn into a place to turn to when you read the daily ruminations on some aspect of the life of this individual. That might show up somewhere else, or it might not, but this blog I'm intending to be more about content and whatever the hell it is that a fizghoi, fizghoi, or however it will be refered to, is.
